Coffee, bike and outback.

Let's talk straight, let's talk coffee. If you've decide to travel between Merlbourne and Darwin, here is my feedback on where you can have a good cuppa and ressuply with good beans. As much as good food and human warmth most of the time. Melbourne : Probably the coffee world capital, so I'll not gonna start that conversation. Is good coffee and good coffee roaster everywhere. To the point it's hard to make a choice. When sometimes we have to work hard to get a decent coffee, the opposite is the rule in Melbourne where it would be a mission to feed ouserlves with a bad one. Warrnambool : - Rough diamond :& Good coffee, good food. Coffee beans available, from marketlane roastery, espresso or filter.

- Box racer : Good coffee, good food. Coffee beans available, from 5 senses roastery, espresso or filter. Mount Gambier : - Confession : Good coffee, good food. Coffee beans available, from 7 miles roastery, only espresso as far as I can remember - Brick's and Mortar : No clue how it taste like, but I know they sell beans. I should have pop there ! Adelaide : Here as well, as for the biggest cities of the country, the coffee scene is intense. So here is just my route across the area, more than a proper list. - Dawn patrol roaster : Good coffee, nice place. Coffee beans available, from that roastery, espresso or filter. - Exchange speciality coffee : Good coffee, nice place. Coffee beans available, from marketlane roastery, espresso or filter. - The Coffee Barun Espresso Bar : Good coffee, good food, nice place. Coffee beans available, from that roastery, espresso or filter.

This is where the journey begins. Outside of those place below, it's a coffee nightmare. Has been everything or nothing. The water quality from bore holes being bad, and cafe having no filter between the water pipe and the coffee machine.

So : it's often very expensive and very bad. Like really, and despite those few exceptions, everybody make a point brewing bad coffee. Melrose : - Over the edge : In the middle of almst nowhere. Cool place, nice food and good coffee. Medium roast beans coming from I don't know where to sell, however better than anything else you might find around here. Last chance to find coffee beans before Alice springs, out of supermarket indeed. And anyway, is not much supermarket until Yulara ou Alice... So choices are reduced. Hawker : - Flinder's food co : Nice place, amazing food, good coffee. Don't sell beans anymore but things could change. For the first since in a while, water had a taste of water. Alice springs : - The goods : Good coffee, good food and nice spot. Best coffee in town, and actually the only one between Adelaide and Katherine by the Stuart Highway. Sell coffee from Buyu, roasted in Alice. Had espresso and filter roast. Filter roast is not crazy, but better than nothing, and the only fitler roast option from Adelaide to Darwin !

Katherine : - Peakabrew : Good coffee, good food, nice place. Coffee beans available, from Allpress, espresso roast. Darwin : - Kopi stop : Nice place, good coffee and offer some singaporian traditional kopi as well as V60, batch brew and cold brew. Sell a bit of coffee gear, and beans from ONA roaster, espresso and filter roast. Most likely the only place to find gesha beans thousands of kilometres around.

- Sweet brew : Nice place, good food and good coffee.

- The coffee man : Good coffee. V60 and cold brew as well. Sell coffee beans from 5 senses, espresso and filter roast. It's an outdoor coffee, and as it can be quite warm and humid out there, it's good to sit inside.

- Mad about coffee : Good coffee. Lots of coffee gear and coffee from 5 elements. Espresso and filter roast. Alrighty. Good luck.
